Had I given these two just five more minutes to bond, we would have come home with dog number five yesterday lol

The good news for this little girl is that she was adopted yesterday. However she does have 4 siblings, and her mother, not yet adopted. PAWS has them this weekend but on Tuesday they have to go back to the dog pound. They dont have enough foster homes open to keep them out.

I did good-had no trouble giving the little doll back. Seriously though folks, there are so many beautiful, loving little fellers and gals that need a good home and have so much love to give. There is no better friend or companion than a dog. Folks also have the misconception that only mutts end up at the pound. Today we saw a georgeous fullblooded boxer named Liberty at the PAWS dog show. Her owners named her Liberty because she was set to be put to death on July 4th. Why blow hundreds on a dog when you can have the friend of a lifetime for nothing (in fact they give you alot of things when you adopt).

and Mutts turn out to be great dogs. people can't believe our "big dog" is a mutt. people want to know what kind of a dog he is all the time. they just have this look of disbelief when we tell them he is a mix from the pound.

We have two pound/shelter "mutts' who have added so much joy to our lives. I couldn't imagine not having them (will hurt deeply when they do pass). I am so glad that we found them, and I am so thankful that there are folks like those, and I would also encourage anyone to foster these dogs. This is so much better than letting them die. We have fostered a couple, and it tickled us to death when we saw them find a good home. When you foster, the rescue group provides everything-food, meds, the works. You are out nothing, but you make a new friend.

Another thing: "Mutts" are healthier, live longer lives, and are generally more inteligent than purebreds. This isn't an opinion. It is a fact.

I just visited the animal shelter on friday and came home with a new dog. Went up there for some huskies but they had been put down, so i went for the coalfield's dog of the week or whatever it is called, so far she's the friendliest pet i've ever had!
